    Spectrum Spatial Manager (SSM) release 12.2 is amazing! Do you need to setting a layer with a specific Custom Symbol as point style? You might add Named Layers in SSM with the new feature Add Layers, select the "Define Style Override" and choose your Custom Symbol. It is easy and it doesn't cost much time...See Attachment
