  • 1.  Spectrum Spatial Analyst 12.2 installation

    Hi,

    I would like to share our experience with installing Spectrum Spatial Analyst 12.2.

    The situation that I want to describe happen when we were installing on a computer with the clean OS.

    First, we installed Spectrum Technology with Spatial module without problem. Spectrum Spatial Services started. The second step we did was installation of Spectrum Spatial Analyst. Because the installation was on a computer with clean OS, installer install Java jdk-1.8.0. 162(x64) first.

    After Java installation, installer continue to Spectrum Spatial Analyst and finish with information, that installation was successful.

    Spectrum Spatial Analyst services did not start automatically and when we tried to start them manually, we received error message, that the services are not possible to start.

    We restart the server, but this did not help.

    We decided to uninstall SSA and install again. Because java was already installed, installer did not install java again. Installation also finished successfully. In this time all Spectrum Spatial Analyst services started without problem.

    The same situation happens to us twice, during installation in our office and on customer site, too.

    It seems, that the problem can happen, because SSA installation continues immediately after Java installation without reboot of computer.

    Could you please share the SSA install logs from windows temp directory ( in Run window type %temp% )?

    No error was logged during the installation.

    In order to investigate the issue, may I ask you to share the logs (from the below mentioned location) please?

    1. C:\Program Files\Pitney Bowes\SpectrumSpatialAnalyst\Tomcat7\AnalystAdmin\logs
    2. C:\Program Files\Pitney Bowes\SpectrumSpatialAnalyst\Tomcat7\AnalystConnect\logs
    3. C:\Program Files\Pitney Bowes\SpectrumSpatialAnalyst\Tomcat7\AnalystLocate\logs
    4. "shared.properties" located inside "global" folder
    5. wrapper.log of Spectrum

    Hi,

    I am uploading log files. Because we uninstall SSA and install again, I am not sure, there will be records about any problem. ?
