We are pleased to announce the release of Spectrum® Spatial Analyst v12.2 (12.0 sp2). Spatial Analyst is an interactive business analysis solution that uses powerful web mapping capabilities to enable users to view, share, query, edit, interact and understand business and spatial data. With reduced administration and enhanced end user experience, 12.2 introduces enhanced customization features that enables Administrators to build unique custom experiences without the need to touch one line of code. Spatial Analyst also provides new exciting features for the end user.
End User Enhancements:
• Adding Spectrum Layers- End users can now add Spectrum Spatial Layers along with adding Local Files (CSV, XLS, Geojson, KML file along with metadata options files) to the map.
• Multi-select Feature – End Users can manually click and select multiple features from a layer to show on the map information panel. The Multi-select feature is available for named layers, vector layers and query layers.
• Merge and Split Annotations - enables a user to select polygon annotations on the map and perform operations like merge, intersect, subtract and split.
• Annotation Changes - Drive-time polygon and Drive-distance polygon are now two separate annotation tools. This allows users to choose whether to initially create a time or distance based polygon.
• Zoom to the entire layer - In the Map Legend Panel users have a new quick launch option to zoom to the extents of all the data in a layer.
For more information, refer to Spectrum Spatial Analyst User Guide
You can view examples of the above at the Spectrum Spatial Analyst User Forum.
Administration Enhancements:
• Designer for Map Information Templates – We have introduced a Template Designer interface for creating new information templates on tables. This functionality is available to the administrator only. As an Administrator you can create customized templates and set properties for the previously selected table and generate a new template that can include –
? Column Selections from the table
? Bar Charts
? Pie Charts
? Street Imagery
? Any Other Text
Note: The Template Designer is supported and tested in desktop browsers and not on the mobile devices.
• Enhanced Logic Change for Find My Nearest Permissions - we have changed the logic and whenever admin assigns FMN config to a Map Config, the same permissions are propagated to FMN tables. Therefore, there is no need to explicitly set permissions on FMN config anymore. We have therefore removed the subtab for Find My Nearest Permissions udder the Permissions.
Developer Enhancements:
We are very excited to inform you about this next New feature available under the New SSA Extensibility License.
• SSA Extensibility – We have introduced a new extensibility platform that allows third parties to customize the product. This framework is based on the Angular component model. New components can be created and added to Spectrum Spatial Analyst to provide new or different functionality.
Please note that use of Extensibility requires a developer licence for SSA, which is available as an additional purchase.
For more information, refer to the SSA API Guide and SSA Extensibility Guide.
For more information, on any of the new features in SSA, please refer to the Spectrum Spatial Analyst User Guide or you can view examples of the above at the Spectrum Spatial Analyst User Forum.
