    Hi,

for some reason, we need to update our stocks out of the yearly inventory using the transaction MB11 and movements 711/712.

I got it once, but somehow, the system ask me in Winshuttle for information that is not asked during the template record within SAP. The problematic field is the one for the Profit center.

    • Entering just the material number, plant and so on, the system take the Profit center from the Master Data. So it is not need to be entered.
    • There is also the option, to enter the Profit Center during the record. But when I try to run the transaction with Winshuttle, I get the problem that that field is not found.

    Attachments:

Pic1: First the error after not entering any Profit Center.

Pic2: Now entering the Profit Center:

     Pic3: Showing error in Winshuttle.

    Hi Juan Pedro

Have you tried running in DEBUG mode to see what is going on?

    • The first error definitely implies that the profit center is not on the screen.
    • The second error implies there is an extra pop-up screen (dialog box) with screen technical name SAPLKACB 0002 that is not accounted for - something related to account assignments.
My system doesn't have profit centers, but I did try out movement type 711 in MB11 and it worked, although it was for limited materials / material types.

    Best Regards,
    Sigrid

    Hi Sigrid,

    yes.

    1. with the first version, without entering any Profit Center everything seems to be OK. I mean, I follow the step debugging and the system does not stop never.
    2. in the second version, as the system ask me to enter the Profit Center, I enter it, but then the system does not find the field, and I dont need to open new tabs or going anywhere, just enter it in the field is showed in the second screen. Debugging this version, it is truth, there is a pop-up window asking me for the Profit Center, but that pop-up window does not appear when I record, so I could just add it manually, but with the same result: field not found.

    Thanks!

    Hi Juan Pedro

Since I can't reproduce that myself, two thoughts to try in the order I would try them:

    1. check the start SAP GUI on the run tab to see if that helps
    2. try to record in BATCH mode
A quick batch mode example attached.  Please note that I do not have the profit center - just the GL account - in my system.

    Best Regards,
    Sigrid

    Thanks Sigrid for your help!

As I answered Joseph, the problem doesnt occur when I post the 711 movement (Goods Issue). I give the problem as solved as at least the half of the movements can save me time enough!

    Thanks!

    Hi Juan,

Did you do the rest of your inventory outside of SAP? If you are carrying inventory differences from cycle counts in WM, they would remain even after you complete these transactions in MB11.  They should be cleared in LI20.

Regardless of that, try recording your script by clicking by new item instead of selecting enter. This will allow you to enter parts one at a time, and winshuttle does better with that in my limited experience.

    Hi Josseph,

yes I know that is not the best practice...
We dont use WM, so LI20 transaction does not play any role here.

somehow the template didnt work with the movement 712 but it has worked with the movement 711. :O

    Thanks for your replies!!

Problem is solved (or at least the half of it!)
