    Hi Winshuttle Experts,

I have been trying to create one winshuttle script that supports plant creation and storage location, can anyone help me.  I'm create the first plant/sloc, but when i go to do the next record, the plant is already created, and the slocs are failing to extend. What can I do?

    Hi Vicki

Not 100% sure of all that you'll run into, but you might see something like this on the 2nd and subsequent storage locations.

There is a "trick" for that.  It's an IF on SAP field, which uses the "geeky" field name.  For all of the fields that might be filled in from a prior run and thus read only, you can do something like this

I move the IF Condition window to the side so I can see the geeky name when I compose the IF statement.  You can simply start typing it or use the dropdown to find it.  I type it - it's easier.

The way this works, if the SAP field is empty, upload the value - which means it's your first storage location.  If it's filled in, you'll know it's read only and don't pass it to SAP.

You'll have to do this for all of the fields that are already set and read only, but it does work.

    Hope this helps,
    Sigrid

    Thank you Sigrid,

This actually gives me a thought.  Sorry, I hope you don't mind me running this by you.  We are only creating the views for plant and storage location from referencing (no field interaction).

So could I create one transaction script for MM01 and do all the plant views first, then scroll back to the plant/storage location views.  Now when I map, can I add a condition to skip a view if a column on my excel sheet is null, and then I would just not fill in the plant on those materials that just need the extension on the storage location?    It would look like a Header with details.  I've never done that with MM01.

Thank you and have a wonderful day.  Please stay safe

    Hi Vicky,

I think there are 2 possibilities to do this:
    1. In your MM01 script create a loop around the creation of the storage locations. If you have already a loop in it for the extension to more plants you would need a second loop within the plant loop.
    2. Create a second script to create and is needede extend the storage locations. For extension you could use a loop. Then you can chain the second script to your MM01 script. For both scripts you can use the same Excel-sheet. If this works fine you can publish both scripts to the Excel-file and run it from Excel.

    Hope it will help you.
