VA05 Moveing of a Sale order

  • 1.  VA05 Moveing of a Sale order

I am a little newer to Winshuttle. I am trying to build a script on VA05 that will move a open sales order from one Plant to another Plant but, it is crashing on the screen. The script is ending when it is doing a screen test. I've try to disable them and that didn't help. If the group to point me into what I have missing I would be very thankful.

    Hi James -

What are you doing in the transaction during this section of the script?

Are you using the filter?  What are you filtering on with column B? Is that filtering necessary since you're already providing the SO number on one of the earlier screens?

If you record this in Batch mode, it should work. Once you get onto the screen where the SO shows (table in non-batch mode, but in batch mode you will see a line with a check box), use the select all button to check that box, and use the menu to do edit> mass change > plant.

    Thank you!

we can have mulit lines in one sale order. column B is the fitter for change item line I want to move. I record in batch mode hoping that was the reason. In debut it crash after, going from SO number screen to the next screen after, enter. I never make it to be able to filtering or do the mass change to plant.

    Hi James -

I'm able to get a successful recording, but on my system, no changes are made, and I can't quite figure out if it's data / system related, or something related to the script. One thing to note is that when done in Batch mode, after you hit save on the new plant pop-up, it ends the recording. There's no further exits needed, like in the non-batch scripts.

Feel free to test out the attached, but I have no idea if it will allow the save or not. But the filtering on item number should work.

    Thank you!

Thank again. I have been away for some time. I did fix the script but, i have been trip up by that our company uses vas lines that added to the garment item. but, if the garment is partly download i have it skip it but, the vas line if it has not downloaded it will try to move it but, i would like it to skip it if it skips the garment line.

    Hi James -

I am sorry but I do not understand what you are trying to do. What is being downloaded and where? What is being skipped? How do you know what item is a garment item and what is a vas item, is it just based on the item format? I don't see anything being skipped within the script, are you asking how to skip it or did you just leave that part out of the script?  If you can clarify, I can try to assist.

    Thank you!

    Hi James -

I am able to run this successfully and it does not time out for me. Can you send a screenshot of what your Run settings look like in Studio?

    Thank you.

    Hi James -

Please run the Query again but uncheck the "Enable Adaptive Query Throttling" checkbox first.  Unless you have a crazy number of rows that should be returned, it should not time out.

    Thanks!

Hi James, if you continue to have issues with VA05, it may be easier to record using VA02. You could still use VA05 to gather the data, then use VA02 to change it. I have VA02 scripts that change a material number, or quantity, or batch for a specific line item within an order. I'm sure you could use a similar method to change the plant. If you get to a point where you are too frustrated with VA05, let me know and I can provide a similar script using VA02. Jennifer is great though, so I am sure she'll get you through this. :)

I have been very busy the last few days. I Thank you both.

    Vanessa,
If I use VA02 I would have to add more steps into the scripts because I try and it cause Storage locations on the sale order to delete.

    Jennifer,
I tried your script and it works for the most part.  I try to record the steps again in Batch I can do the exit but, your when you record it. It exit after, you change the plant. it is looking like they are some system differences in your and mine.
