  • 1.  Evolve Server Scheduling question

    Hello,

     

    I have one query and two transactions that are tied to the same excel file.  When I submitted them individually, the query let me select the frequency of "daily" but for the subsequent scripts that option did not appear.  I subsequently submitted the solution under one submission with multiple files but when I go through the scheduling process there is still no frequency pop up option to choose a daily run; the only pop-up is for date and time.  Also, when I checked the calendar in Evolve I don't see anything scheduled there either.  Attached are the files as reference.

     

    I thought scheduling on the Evolve server would allow you to select the frequency.  What am I missing?

     

    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi Rita

    Can you please explain what it is you're trying to accomplish and in what order with the 3 scripts?

    In general: 

    For single script submissions to schedule on server
    • Query allows recurring schedules, i.e. run every day
    • Transaction only allows you to schedule 1 run, since the data file will be the same, so it doesn't make sense to run it multiple times.

    For a multi-script submission, it won't know what to run and in which order unless they are chained.  And you have cross linked scripts, i.e. Query and Transaction scripts.  So if you are trying to run a Query and then 2 Transaction scripts, if you chain them, you should be able to schedule them.
