  • 1.  VK11 - Many to Many looping

    Posted 01-30-2022 07:35
    Hi,

I'm trying to create a script that will create VKP0 conditions for ~6000 materials in ~500 plants (~3 million records total, so past the row limit of 1 Excel sheet)

I'm looking at the looping types and it doesn't look like I'm able to achieve this?

The Single Sheet loop would require me to duplicate the material information with the plant information as a header line.

The Multi Sheet loop also needs me to duplicate the material information, but this time providing a unique key to link it to the plant information
I tried with a non unique key and that didn't work either.

Have I read how looping works incorrectly?

    Many Thanks,
    Ken

    Hi Ken,
I think you read the working of loopings correctly, besides there are different examples on this forum that can illustrate.
But I agree that leaves you with a very difficult uploadfile.
I need to do a similar upload every now and then: updating customer prices. Exactly the same issue: it leaves me with a large file, extensive loops.
So I changed the upload to an uploadfile without  loops. I don't know if it's more or less timeconsuming, but at least it gives an upload that can easily be split into different uploadfiles.
Maybe such an upload can help you too ?

    hope that helps ... Jan

    Thanks Jan,

I'd built that at first, and it was only when I realised the number of entries needed when I started looking to the loops.
That's something I'm holding back on, as the only way to create the inpute file would require an external solution (VBA, PowerQuery or like such)

I'm hoping I can find a pure Winshuttle before I ask my users to grab another bit of kit.

    Thanks, Ken
