In the interim, there are some BOM examples in the templates
Both use loops, i.e. H/D, because there are many line items. While you may be able to flatten it out, it would require you choose a maximum number of components, and it would mean formatting it just right to load them, with IF statements to skip blank ones, i.e, one bom might have 5 components and another 10.
The update BOM script includes a query to extract the BOM, and it has an update script with options to ADD, DELETE, REPLACE and UPDATE components.
I don't understand your question about query with join and multiple entries. If you can clarify, there may be an example I can share, unless they query in the update BOM example works for you.
