Does anyone know if we can write a script to update the material master (MM02) MRP4 view material memo?

Hi Carmen -

Yes, you can. It's not one of the standard texts that are part of the built-in Winshuttle long text functionality, so you will have to record this the old-fashioned way, by going into the text and capturing any number of the individual 72-character lines you need, depending on how much text you will need to include in your material memo. If it's short, you can get by with just one row, but if you need more, you will need to capture as many rows as you think you might possibly have, and the long text will need to be broken up by 72-characters per long text field. I've attached an example that has 3 lines of text, allowing for up to 216 characters.

Hi Adam -

If you want to be able to download the material memo, just take my MM02 and delete the unnecessary rows and map the memo rows to map down to excel.

If you already have a previous MM03 from when you tried to record this before, just paste the three material memo lines from the MM02 into it. If you need more lines, just keep adding more of those memo lines and incrementing the row position number in the parentheses.
