Hi All

Quick question for you all regarding source lists, is there a way a script can go in and delete certain source lists, as in certain Material Plant, Vendor combinations.

In my company Source list sits with our Vendor experts, im a Material expert so this is a little out of my comfort zone, but im being told (in house) that its not possible to delete source lists on mass, i dont like the word impossible, and it certainly doesnt seem to exist where Winshuttle is concerned.

Any help/Pointers greatly appreciated.

Hi Christian -

This may not be impossible, but how "easy" this is would depend on your data set. There is a "position cursor" by valid from, which may or may not help.  If you look at an example like this below, that position cursor within SAP certainly would not help. 


So it's all about finding a way to ensure that there's a unique identifier on that particular row that you want to delete. If you did have unique valid from dates, then you could just use position cursor and that would be super easy.

There is a Selections > Flag Selections menu option and you can select a row by various attributes - vendor, procurement plant, agreement, agreement item. It would select the appropriate row and then you could hit the Details button and then the trash can to delete. So provided that flag selections would be able to find the right row for you, that could certainly be the way to go. I've never recorded this myself so I don't know how well it records or not, but it's certainly worth a shot.

we Certainly do have them by seperate Vendor references, so the same Vendor ID would never repeat itself for the same material/Plant combination.

would that be enough to identify the attribute as unique to delete a single row, or multiple rows, similar to the screenshot you've shared above?

Hi Christian -

If you will only have the Vendor once, then the flag selections by vendor should be the simplest way to go. Lucky you!
