  • 1.  How to change the (DATE) datatype to STRING..

    Hello all,

    When i was recording the FBB1 transaction date format datatype is taking date 10.

    if I'm Run it, then I'm getting  Date format should be __.__.____. (Automatically generated datatype )


    if I'm modify the data type to string 10 then it will working fine. (Manually changed data type)

    modify method.

    I was copied which we have string length is 10 and inserted at date format is DATE 10 also changed Description and Name.


    how can i change automatically? not manually.

    please suggest me..

    Hi Mahesh

    BLDAT aka document date should be a date field.  I have a feeling it's something that is set in your default settings for your SAP user id.

    The formats that SAP expects is based on your Default settings in SU01, with the date and decimal formats are set here:

    Can you check them or have someone on your Basis team check them?

    You can get the datatypes from SAP if you change/add fields in the MAP tab by clicking synchronize
