  • 1.  Running report and saving a file per personnel number

    ​I want to run an annual taks report per person and save this file per person. When I run this report (RPCJWNN1) I can ask for a preview and then save this preview to a local file, but if I do this in Winshuttle recording, the things that happen outside SAP (in Windows) is not recorded and I also want to make the file name a variable. Is there a solution for this?

    Hi Milly

    Some of it varies by tcode and how you save the output.  The part that guides you to where to save the file and name it often requires GUI scripting.    Sometimes that doesn't work, however most of the time it does.

    For this one, you might be able to try this - if you're running in SE38 - for export choose LOCAL FILE

    then choose the format - I picked SPREADSHEET

    then enter the path and file name and click GENERATE.
    My file contained this - I don't have good data

    If that's what you're running, it may work in non-batch or batch instead of GUI scripting.  Please give it a try, if that meets your needs.

    Hi Sigrid,

    I have tried and GUI Scripting was promising, because the field for file name did appear on the mapping, but with the lable "untitled". And when I ran it, it stops at when the popup from Windows appears. It's not an Excel sheet I want to save. It's a preview of a PDF file. It doesn't seem possible. Winshuttle stops when a Windows popup shows up.
