Hi Sigrid,
Thanks so much for that, I managed to replicate what you did in the file and it worked. I guess I simply didn't try that configuration when I was trialing things.
I have one more request for you. I've successfully gotten meaningful output with the fields listed in the screenshots, defining plant number and a range of dates. (Tables used: AFRU, AFIH, PLPO and QMEL). My admin has only given me scope to use four tables at a time, but I need to add one more field: AUART or "Order Type", listed in HIKO, TQ80 and AUFK. In order to do a quick trial, I performed a Trial Run with AFRU, AFIH, QMEL and replaced PLPO with HIKO, TQ80 and AUFK sequentially and used the automatically generated Table Joins as a starting point. My Keys were order number or plant number. The combinations {AFRU, AFIH, TQ80, QMEL} and {AFRU, AFIH, AUFK, QMEL} triggered a "User is not authorized to access this data" error message. {AFRU, AFIH, HIKO, QMEL} with the Table Join on order number (I tried a couple of combinations, one run with a single join with AFRU and one run with two joins AFRU - HIKO - QMEL) came up with "no data available".
Could you check if {AFRU, AFIH, TQ80, QMEL} and {AFRU, AFIH, AUFK, QMEL} yields meaningful output so I can justify a permissions change with my administrator? In our plant, Order Type is labelled as "PM99, PM01, PM02 ... etc".
Thanks for your support. :) Hope you had a good christmas
Cheers,
Arlene

Hi Arlene
Hope you had a nice holiday! You can run the query without AUFK - see attached. Ensure you have zero padding for AUFNR (work order number).
If you attach your query, I can take a look.

Sigrid

Hi Sigrid,
Thanks for the advice and the files, I will endeavor to give more detail in future. Generally, I was trying your suggested approach by adding one table at a time and testing, hence the reason I thought the issue lay with AFRU.
I ran your file to try to experiment, but it appears AUFK is outside my current SAP permissions. I tried running just AFRU and QMEL with a very general search criteria of plant number and a wide, recent date range, with an outer left join on Order number, which again returned no results. I suspect that AUFK may be required for my project, but am still a bit baffled as to why the confirmation details won't come up if paired with any table containing work order fields.
I will contact my administrator and get access to AUFK and experiment further. If I have any further questions, I will re-open this thread.
Cheers,
Arlene

Hi again Arlene
To get the best help the first time, it's helpful to explain the entire use case and share what you're working on if at all possible. More details are better. :)
I tried to create a quick example - no attention to fields/selection criteria with all of the tables but not mapped. In my case, I didn't have a notification but had confirmations, so I used the left outer join on QMEL, as you can only have one left outer join - and there are settings that enable/disable this feature if you're using User Governance/Foundation/Studio Manager/Evolve. It's still not clear to me that you need one, but I know I did.
Overall my recommendation is to start with one table, and test, then add a table and test to ensure you're joining the right tables the right way and not getting duplicates or ending up with no data as you were.
Best Regards,
Sigrid

Hi Sigrid,
My goal is to connect AFIH, QMEL and AFRV to calculate some key KPI's (schedule attainment, compare planned vs actual hours taken to complete PM's, departmental performance, etc). I successfully obtained output from connecting AFIH and QMEL (selected fields and criteria attached), but when I added AFRV, it flagged no data. So I cleared the workspace and tried a few things with AFRV by itself.
For reasons that baffle me, I do not appear to have the ability to create left outer joins, so I may have to speak to an administrator about access related to that so I can replicate your example.

Hi Arlene
That is the table I have used to capture confirmations done using IW41. I see it's the only table in your query - but is that all you're using for your extract? For example, I used this query to join the PM work order to the confirmations, and used a left outer join, in case there weren't any yet - joins displayed.

Please provide a bit more info, if possible.
Best Regards,
Sigrid

Hello Winshuttle Community,
I've got a bit of a tricky one for you.
I'm using Query to display the contents of the table AFRV (Confirmation Pool) in the Plant Maintenance arm of SAP.
I have created plenty of work orders and confirmations in my testing environment, and also closed the work orders.
I have tried a few things to help myself. I am almost certain this is the correct table, and I have changed my criteria up several times in order to obtain meaningful data. Everything I try, Winshuttle tells me the database is empty.
Screen shots attached of the created confirmations in the testing environment and the Query script causing me challenges.
Thanks in advance!
