I'm hoping this is an easy question....I'm creating Drop-downs in composer, linked to Sharepoint lists.
I create the list in Sharepoint and then create a default view so that it is sorted the way I would like.

However, when I add the data connection in composer, it pulls in the list the way it was originally imported.  Since I will be adding to this list over time, I'd like to figure out a way to get composer to keep the settings that are in Sharepoint.  Basically, I'm just wanting to pull the list in alphabetical order:

    apple
    boy
    cat

    Hi April

Will specifying a sort order help?  If so, you can edit the data connection and add sort fields

    Best Regards,

I don't see that as an option – we are using 11.2 – is that the issue?

Sigrid's answer is the best for SP lists.

For SQL, we use an order statement in the Query control's Query field and in some cases if the data set retrieved from SP isn't too large, you can dump into a table hidden on the form, sort the table, then update the drop down values (with the drop down's range set to this repeating table). I like this last option in cases where you need info calculated not present in the data source or when users need to use extended columns on the table data itself.

The tricky part on the last option is firing anything after a SQL/SP query. There's no good hook, like a web service's log field.
