Hi Community,
I was wondering if anyone else is using MS Excel for Office 365 ProPlus (Click- to-run) and having any issues? Praying someone can help. We are using Winshuttle Studio Version 12.1.0 with Foundation. When we run scripts in Studio we click on "open a different file" (folder icon) and browse for the saved data template we want to run. Once we click on Run, the excel file opens
outside of studio and the script begins to run. There is a message that the file is is read-only mode. Once the run is complete, if we need to debug or run on errors we have to close the excel file first, then click on the retry button to open the file back up in Studio. Does this happen for anyone else or are we doing something wrong?
I have one user that is having an issue and I am stumped on how to solve it. Every time the user runs a Transaction script in Studio he gets the following pop-up message:
"Please open the data file before continuing". He cannot continue because the data file is
already open outside of Studio and a second blank excel file opened at the same time. He can, however, run the script in Excel using the Add-in with no issues. It seems as though the problem is with his version of Excel and Studio.
I found that this user has a different version of Excel (1910) than the rest of us (1902). I opened a ticket with Support, however the issue was not resolved. The analyst sent my user an excel file to run. He was able to run the file that came from Winshuttle just fine in Studio, but he has not been able to run any excel files from our company. I'm wondering now if maybe his version of Excel is not supported by Winshuttle. Can any of the Solution Engineers weigh in? I'm going bananas!
Thanks,
