I have created Scripts for CL24N class PO_RELEASE , one to edit doc type and another to change release values.  
I had to extract the all data and then number the data to get an entry for RMCLF-PAGPOS

What class type are you loading with CL24N?  I may have a script you can try but need to know which class type first to see if the one I have would work for your needs.

I created to Scripts. Adding the Class to equipment with CL24N in the first one and added the Char Values with CLMM with a second Script.

Perhaps it's possible to update the characteristis direct in SAP at the object like Material / Equipment/ Functional Locations? or whatever?
What kind of Class type u want to update 001/002 /003
