Is it possible to use Winshuttle to attach pdf documents to an asset using 'Create Attachment'?

Hi Sonia - yes you can.  You would record an AS02, pass in the asset number, sub number and company code, then just click save.

In the mapper choose to  add a file attachment.  Choose whatever attachment method is used in your company.  I used BDS.

Then map both sets of fields to the same columns - asset number for the script and the attachment, subnumber for both and company code for both.

Then fill in the path to the file you're attaching and run.  And you'll see the attachment.

A v12 script against an S4 system is attached as an example.

    Hope that helps.

    Hi,

Is there any way to put multiple attachments using this "Create Attachment"?
    Without making linked scripts.

    Hi Heikki

If you want to use the file attachment method described last year, you can either zip the attachments and use that for multiple attachments, or pass in the same asset number with multiple documents, i.e.:
    1001  c:\myfiles\attachment1.pdf
    1001  c:\myfiles\attachment2.pdf
    1001  c:\myfiles\attachment3.pdf

So one script but multiple lines.

For the zip method, you just need to be sure SAP accepts that file type in your systems.

    Best Regards,
    Sigrid

Zip would be fine if business would approve that...they want all visible as separate documents.

I'm actually trying to do this in FB03 and as unfortunately we are still in version 11 and adding attachments in FB50 is not supported. So basically what I'm looking is to to archive the excel that contains the document+attachments... and amount of attachments varies.
So the "Current Document" works fine for the excel file itself, but can I add those extra files.
