  • 1.  Query of SD Pricing Conditions does not contain items without Scales

    Posted 01-10-2019 16:53
    Hi,

I am a new Developer in Winshuttle Studio v11 and have been working to create queries to download our current pricing condition records for 1) customer/material, 2) groups, and 3) material list pricing.  During the validation with the end-user, it was discovered that the query is not pulling any conditions that do not have scales.  I am not sure what I am doing wrong so any advice or hints will be greatly appreciated.

Is it possible that I need to write 2 different queries and link them to pull the condition records for both those that contain scales and those that don't?

I thank you in advance for any tips.

    Best Regards,

    Sue Ellen

    Hi Sue Ellen

Great you're using query in your use case.  Please note that joins are  by default "inner" joins, meaning they'll only pull information that is in both tables.  Have you tried to make the join with the scale values an "outer" join, which means it will return rows that have and don't have matches?  You can right click on the join and change it.

For some use cases, this isn't feasible, as we have some restrictions on outer joins, but I would give it a try first.

    Hope that helps,
    Sigrid

    Hi Sue Ellen -

I've attached an example query that does include scales, it includes the KONM table.  But as Sigrid mentioned, if you include this table then it will only show the ones that do have scales, and excludes the ones that don't.  So you will want to have a separate query that grabs the non-scaled pricing.  If you wanted to you could link those together so that you would ultimately only hit "run" once and get all the results.

    Thank you!
