My requirement is as below - 

I have a file which gets loaded in Infogix Assure on a daily basis. I need to run a control which will retrieve history for 0 (current day) -1 (previous run) (-2 previous to previous run) based on certain criteria. I added history data line items in history tab of the control and specified the layout as the input data source under capture tab. If I retrieve the entire instance I do get the data but when I specify the condition and retrieve only computed values the report states a message Not Found. If you can point me to an article which explains how to handle history data it would be great. Also how to use this History Data items in the validation tab?

P.S. the condition is specified to retrieve the computed values against certain records which do exist in the source file

I apologize for the delayed response. Has the team been able to resolve this since the post was first made?

When making one of those, the system will do some defaulting of the "Select Control Data" > "When" if ( and only if ) the Control Entity on the "Details" table of the history data items is the same as "this entity" ( the one whose Control Point you are editing ). Otherwise, it is up to the rules writer to fill out the cycle criteria and the "select control data when". For a computed history, you also have to add computations on the "Fields" tab, such as "sum of control field X" or "minimum of control field Y". It should be noted that some things change when selecting "entire instance" for history as well.

Thanks Matthew. I have 2 files which gets loaded on a daily basis and my requirement is to do data reconciliation between today and yesterday's data load. Below is my control setup -
1 Detail Control Entity (ce1) having 1 Multicapture control point (cp1) 2 data sources in Capture tab one each for 2 files. 3 History Data items - 1. References Relative Cycle 0 or Most Recent Cycle data (control entity - ce1) 2. References Relative Cycle -1 (control entity - ce1). For both history data items I have Select Control Data = <my primary key>. My question is, when I refer to the -1 relative cycle will I be getting values from both data sources? If not, how do I retrieve history run for second data source or viceversa assuming I am able to retrieve historical run only 1 data source.

Is it possible for us to separate this logic out? For example, when trying to reconcile, utilize a "recon" CP with one source as a "control data current cycle", and a second source is the "control data -1 cycle"?

This would be the best solution it appears, at least without being able to look at the control itself.
