Brief Description:
The Developer will be part of Gogo’s Financial Systems Integration Team and will play a lead part in developing reports and tools to support the Revenue Accounting Team.
Basic Functions:
1. Responsible for the process/business rule driven reports and tools to support functions the Revenue Accounting Organization;
2. Develop reports and tools to a predefined specification, produce all supporting documentation, assist in technical software design activities and assist in the specification of software solutions;
3. Perform the tasks of Coding, Unit Test and Integration Tests as defined within the Software Development Guidelines to an acceptable level of quality;
4. Provide estimates for solution specification, technical design and development work;
5. Provide regular updates on project/work status to the wider business team.
6. Provide operational support for back off systems
Job Requirements:
1. At least 3 years’ experience developing software or utilizing data analysis/analytic tools;
2. Database/data analysis experience (SQL, data modeling, PL/SQL);
3. Experience with create shell scripts and management of jobs e.g. Crontab in a Linux Environment;
4. Strong analytical background;
5. Strong communication skills;
6. Provide operational support for back off systems.
PREFERRED JOB REQUIREMENTS:
1. Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent required;
2. Good working knowledge of script based programming languages e.g. Bash, Korn, Python
3. Technical experience with activities involving heavy reliance on data analysis skills, including data conversions, systems integration, reporting, business intelligence, or data warehousing very helpful;
4. Any relevant Revenue assurance experience, including data reconciliation, usage analysis, etc., in the communications or ecommerce industry;
5. Any relevant Procedural Programming Experience;
6. Working in a Batch Processing Environment;
7. Agile Experience
