I solved the "safety" issue. It was really my mistake for even posting it as one.

I have now modified the setBrainEnv.bat and replaced the "C:/BRAINscratch" entry with the one I wanted.
I am still facing the same issue.

Could you please guide me step by step concerning the proper actions so as to change the .tmp files save directory?

Have you restarted the LAE Server? There is a little green dot in your system tray which represents the server. You will need to right click on that, and choose "Exit". Then you can restart the LAE server (shortcut should be in your Start menu, or it will restart when you restart the BRE graph editor.

First tmp directory = c:/BRAINscratch/tmp
Second tmp directory = d:/BRAINscratch/tmp

That isn't currently supported, in order to spread the tmp space, you would need to use the OS to map the extra space under the scratch space. This can be done in a variety of ways depending on OS, and the best place to do that would be to map a second location to one of your big users if you are in a multi-user environment; perhaps a few separate ones for each of your top users.
