I'm a newcomer to the LAE software, so please excuse me if this question has been asked before. I looked through the boards for an answer to this query, but was unable to find one.

In the 'Output Excel' node (or any other node for that matter), is it possible to output data from LAE into specific named ranges within an existing Excel template? I have multiple data ranges in my workbook that are used to siphon data into specific areas within the template, but I have not yet identified the best practice within LAE to make this happen.

    Thanks in advance,
    Matt

See if the attached answers your question. The main thing is to use the Output Spec, with the outputIndex set to the worksheet number you want.

Thanks for the response. It does answer my question to a degree. It helps me realize that there are creative ways to achieve the desired outcome, but just to confirm, it is not directly possible to send an input directly to "Range_1", an existing named range within the Excel template, correct?

Darn, I was hoping that the outputName attribute could be used in the Output Spec, but no luck. You can use it when bringing in data with the Excel node, but not when outputting to Excel.
