I've checked the windows date/time settings, restarted the computer and reinstalled brain but I'm still getting this error.

Anyone else ever had this kind of trouble?

    Thanks,

In the future, please redirect such questions to Technical Support

If your PC system clock has been set back, the LD License Manager will report a "system clock has been set back" error. The LD License Manager also checks the system for files with a date that is ahead of your system clock. For instance, if you had for some reason set your clock to the future, a number of future dated files may have been created. Any action that puts future-dated files on the LD system results in the "system clock has been set back" error. Other examples include setting the system clock to the past, setting the clock ahead and then back to the present, or getting future-dated files from another source.

See attached troubleshooting procedure "Troubleshooting Err 18 - System clock has been set back.txt".

There have been instances where the system date/time has been invalid for an extended period. In such instances the number of files with invalid timestamps could be extensive, and prohibitive to the execution of the attached procedure. There are articles/utilities that describe this problem and make recommendations about how to resolve it:
