I'm trying to connect to a flat file of 4-5gb and it keeps failing only showing a purple pin with the right record count.
    Thanks for any help.

Generally if there is a purple pin, that is a sign that you are using trace field (a toolbar entry in the middle of the tool bar, where you can put field names and it will highlight pins and lines where that field exists. In order to get it to highlight a pin however, the node would need to have finished at least once. Not sure how it could be purple otherwise. Since you are new to the software, you might be referring to something in a way that is different than I expect. Can you take a screen shot and show me what you mean?
