Did you check also display mode preferences library tab?

Cause you may be switched to library display mode (yellow square) by mistake. You can find it on the bottom left of the main Lavastorm window. Just switch back to edit mode (blue circle) and I hope it works.

In Tools/Preferences/DisplayModes there are multiple display modes.
By Default, Edit mode has a Yellow dot, and Status mode has a Gray dot.

Make sure you've selected the proper mode on the left side panel as you turn on the RecordCount option. (or just turn it on for all)

Would you happen to be running thru any kind of remote terminal session?

I have now selected it, and all is well again.
