We are on LAvastorm version 4.6 (going to upgrade end of year) but in the time being Salesforce has implemented you must use TLS 1.1 version to connect to its sandboxes. Im wondering if we update our lavastorm server to TLS 1.1 will the Salesforce library's nodes then work with TLS version 1.1?

    Thanks,

The existing Salesforce nodes do not support TLS 1.1.

The Salesforce nodes are currently being enhanced to support TLS 1.1 and TLS 1.2 and the new versions of the nodes will be available in the next release of the Lavastorm Analytic Library (LAL) for LAE 6.1 later this month. As the LAE version 4 software has reached the End of Support Life phase of its support lifecycle, new LAL releases are not available for LAE 4.6.

Salesforce's permanent disablement of TLS 1.0 (implemented on June 25 2016) currently only affects sandbox instances. Existing production instances and developer instances will continue to support TLS 1.0 for the time being. Similarly, new production instances can also be configured to use TLS 1.0 (though this is not the default when they are created). However, Salesforce will progressively be phasing out TLS 1.0 support from all of their services, as described here:
