although I have used BRE desktop pro version for a while now, I have never had to set up an LAE server before and am getting confused about what needs installing where in order to get it all to work.

I have installed LAE server 6.0 on a windows server. I am able to connect to that server using my bre client installed on my laptop. I have opened a graph that I created locally on my laptop. I copied the input files for that graph to the new server and changed the graph parameters so that if I run the graph it accesses the files on the server.
if I try and run an excel acquisition node it fails with missing .jar in the path.

WARN: The following classpath entry for the node does not exist c:\program files (x86)/lavastorm/lae6.0/lib/java/laemicrosoftAcquisition-6000.0.1.jar
    classpathnotfound

when I ran bre on my desktop I knew that any error was relevant to my laptop. now if I'm running on the server I assume all errors and paths are referring to the server rather than my laptop? and why is it failing to find the java library for excel node? if I run a static data node it works fine. do I need to install the LAL on the server as well as the LAE server installer?

just struggling to work out what is missing from where...

    thanks for any help,

    regards

Yes, LAL needs to be on both the server and desktop, but LAL should have been installed by default when you installed LAE on the server.
However. If you have upgraded LAL on your desktop, then you need to apply that same upgrade on the server as well.
Both server and desktop need to be on the same version of LAL for stuff to work right.

Did you happen to see a message "unable to create version jars" while installing the server? If so, that may be an issue we need to address.

what would fix that? I don't see that jar file on the server. This is in FTP Put.
    Thanks
