The simplest way is to use the lae installer and "update the installation". Navigate through to the frequency preference screen, choose your preference and go to the next screen. You can then cancel the installer. (pdf with screenshots attached)

Alternatively you can change the registry entry, this isn't advised though as it can be un-reliable and risky.
If you do choose to update the registry then you need to do the following:
change HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ej-technologies\install4j\installations and the entry for UpdateScheduleLAE6.X to be

• start
• daily
• weekly
• monthly
• never

Thanks Simon - I used the registry edit - I'm familiar with Windows registry so no problems. Will download an installer file for later use.
