I run into this issue a lot where a user doesn't know if they upgraded to the latest version of LAL or not on their desktop. since the version on the server has to be the same as the version on the desktop, how do I tell what version of LAL is on the LAE desktop?

I answered my own question by downloading and upgrading the latest version of LAL.
On the desktop LAL if you look in the release notes it tells you what version of LAL is installed.

    Hi,

The most accurate way is to open BRE, select "View" and then "Dependant Libraries" - lal1.brg will show the version number associated.
The "About BRE" is the version of LAE (not LAL)

You can also open the lal1.brg (located in your <lae install directory>/lib/brain/brg) with notepad and it will display the revision number there too. This is useful if you want to check your server version matches your client version.
