There seems to be a slight issue with excel output compatibility when upgrading from 4.5 branch to 4.6. When opening a 4.5.4 project containing an excel output in 4.6 the connection to first input in excel ouput has disappeared and the name of the first input in excel output has defaulted to in1. This seems to be the case at least when input1 in excel output has had a custom name.

I know the excel output was previously in an experimental state but I thought I would share this information here.

Thanks for the information.
This was something that was missed in the change from the experimental node in 4.5.x to the new fully supported node in 4.6.x.
While the references to the node will work correctly, as you point out, input/output connections may not appear correctly in 4.6.
We will investigate to see if notification of this problem can be included in the upgrade compatibility scanner tool.
