Based on what you are saying, I don't believe there is anything on the Lavastorm side that has changed. It was working before in 5 to 10 seconds and now it is 20 to 25 min. So I don't see any way to avoid claiming that something is different with the Salesforce side of this. So this starts to be complete speculation. Has the amount of data in Salesforce increased crossing some threshold causing Salesforce to store it differently? Is there something on the network that changed either internally or externally to Salesforce. I suppose it is possible something on your network changed.
AND, I hope you are working to upgrade to version 6.1 because of the planned change to TLS support at Salesforce. The nodes in 6.1 use a different set of API calls. I am curious whether they work faster and get you back to the expected 5 to 10 second times.
