Does the R node actually error?
Have you selected the node prior to attempting to execute it?
You can get the error you see if you have not selected any nodes to execute.

Otherwise, if the node has failed, you should see a red cross over the node, and be able to hover over the node and see the description of the error that is occurring.
Alternately, you can press CTRL + Shift + Right Click on the node (or Right Click->Log Files->View Error Log File) to bring up a nicer view of the error in the log viewer.

Without more information it is difficult to know the error that is occurring.
