    A map made by engineering students at Cornelll University between 1874 and 1878 - 4 years to map all of Lake Cayuga. Complete with cross-sections of the lake bottom.

    The Finger Lakes are very deep having been carved by glaciers ages ago. I wonder how this work compares to what we know from modern GIS technology?
