    Announcement

Precisely announces the release of Assure MIMIX 9.0.37.00. This release provides either a new install or an upgrade from all previous release levels of Assure MIMIX 9.0 and 8.1.

Precisely encourages customers to stay current by upgrading to the latest release for Assure MIMIX.  Details of the fixes and new features contained within this release can be found in the associated ReadMe document.

    ATTENTION!

    Product Security Changes:
    • Starting in Assure MIMIX 10.0.10, all MIMIX product libraries, and the LAKEVIEW library, will be changed to have their public authority set to *EXCLUDE.   See TECHNICAL ALERT 220916 - Assure Security-MIMIX-iTERA-iOptimize-Connect CDC - Upcoming Library Authority Changes.  Users of Assure MIMIX 9.0 may use the SETLIBAUT, included in this release, to make these same authority changes prior to installing 10.0.10. To avoid any downtime or disruption to your operation, ACTION MUST BE TAKEN to ensure users have appropriate authorities to these libraries.
    • In general, Precisely recommends a review of the following areas that may be affected:
    • User profiles for users who need to access the software, and their current authorities.
    • User profiles used by any automated jobs or tasks which access the Assure MIMIX software or License Manager and their current authorities.
    • User and system library lists, job descriptions and user profile attributes to make sure that Assure MIMIX software installation libraries and LAKEVIEW libraries are not specified.
    • See Knowledge Article 000051533:  CHKLIBREF utility to locate uses of Precisely libraries that will be affected by Public *EXCLUDE

No Enterprise Monitor Support beyond 9.0:
    • The Enterprise Monitor functionality included in the Assure Unified Interface is not supported beyond Assure MIMIX 9.0.  To avoid any disruption to your operations, please plan accordingly.
