    Dear Precisely Customer:

    Precisely is announcing a step forward in our Canada Premium Option 3 (MLD) that enhances address data quality by removing duplicates and errors, increasing building-level accuracy, and improving address placement through better use of building footprints and parcel boundaries.  This new dataset will replace the current MLD and will be released on December 31, 2025.

    Please see full summary details:
    • Improved Data Quality: The new Canada MLD process removes over 1.5 million duplicate and bad addresses, resulting in a cleaner, more accurate dataset.
    • Higher Precision: Building-level accuracy increased approximately 15% [JH1] meaning more addresses are now mapped to precise building footprints.
    • Better Location Types: Enhanced use of building footprints and parcel boundaries delivers more reliable address placement, reducing less accurate street and centroid points.
    • Fewer Duplicates: Advanced deduplication ensures only one version of each address, consolidating aliases and improving consistency for customers.
    • Corrected Address Details: Street names, cities, and postal codes are standardized and verified, leading to more postal-verified records and fewer errors.
    • Improved Parent-Child Relationships: Enhanced record standardization results in better alignment of parent-child address relationships.
    • Smarter Postal Code Assignment: LDU (Local Delivery Unit) logic is improved, with blanks left only when a confident assignment cannot be made, reducing incorrect postal codes.
    • Monthly Updates Coming: Canada MLD will move to a monthly refresh cadence, ensuring customers receive the latest data faster.
    • Positive Impact: These changes will result in more accurate coordinates, improved address matching, and better experience for all users. 

    Precisely customers should expect more reliable, up-to-date, and precise Canadian address data with the upcoming release on December 31, 2025.
