    Hi -
Does anyone have a Java example of creating an item with the REST API?

    Thanks.

    Thomas,

The eLearning Platform has several applicable EnterWorks Tech Talk recordings that include Postman Collections with example calls:

BBS 027 - EnterWorks REST API - Introduction
BBS 030 - EnterWorks REST API - Searches
BBS 041 - Search Examples Using the REST API
BBS 078 - How to Download Digital Assets Using the REST API
BBS 081 - How to Perform Exchange Template Searches Using REST API
BBS 082 - How to Perform Exchange Template Updates Using REST API
BBS 083 - How to Perform Promotions Using REST API
BBS 085 - How to Perform Exchange Template Searches Using Conditions with REST API
BBS 108 - How to Execute SQL queries in custom widgets and using the REST API
ETT 125 - How to Create a Simplified REST API Using a Java Microservice

Most of these session recordings include support files that have Postman Collections with the example calls.  These collections help jumpstart accessing EnterWorks via REST.

The most relevant to creating an item would be BBS 027, BBS 082 and ETT 125.  The latter has the easiest way to create items using REST, bit requires setting up a Micro-Service.  This session includes the example micro-service and instructions for its configuration.
