Has anyone else noticed that the performance of really large GeoPackage files (10+GB) is really poor in MapInfo?
Wondering if this is expected and at what size of data this becomes an issue. Save As an Extended Table and we can work with those.
Thinking that this is more like a transfer format rather than a working dataset.
    Disappointed of Sheffield....

    Hi John

Does it matter which approach you use to access the data in GeoPackage?
MapInfo Pro v2021 now supports two ways:
    • GeoPackage
    • Vector Files (OGR)

I couldn't open it at all with the OGR option.
(well, I gave up after 7 hours spinning circle...)

Is performance also poor in QGIS?
With a 1.5 GB geopackage I don't feel much difference between that and TAB, when I zoom in/out and pan.
