We would like to build a cascaded filter system.
Let's assuming we have the following two datasets. Both are created as reference lists and they are used as two fields on the Business Asset:
Data Domain (filter1):
Domain 1
Domain 2
Domain 3
Other Grouping Category (filter2):
Category 1
Category 2
Category 3
Category 4
that are connected to each other:
Domain 1: Category 1, Category 2, Category 4
Domain 2: Category 3
Domain 3: Category 1, Category 3
We would like to find a solution where filter1 and filter2 are connected:
When we are selecting from filter1 the Domain 1 option, filter2 will showing just the related, relevant categories (Category 1, Category 2, Category 4) and not all the options. Ideally, the filters are allowing multiple choices, so we can see the mixture of the possible categories after we selected the interesting Domains from the filter1.
We tried to achieve it several ways, but none of them was really working. We also found the some promising solution on the Help website (List filter configuration): https://governhelp.data3sixty.com/development/Default.htm#d-admin/defining-fields.htm#List , but unfortunately it seems, this functionality is not available for us.
Is there any other way how we can customize filters to build this complex, cascaded filter system?
