  • 1.  Changing exported file name when using Syndication templates

    Posted 04-01-2025 10:55

We are using EnterWorks 10.6.  We are exporting data using the UI, clicking the export button and selecting a predefined Syndication Template.  Is there any way to change the name of the file that is created from that export using Syndication template?  For example if I use Syndicaiton template: HVAC Parts, the resulting export file name would be HVAC Parts.xlsx    Is there anyway to do this in the UI when creating the Syndication template?

    Joseph,

While the UI allows some control over the file name under the advanced options when launching the Syndication Template export, the file name will still include "publish<jobId>_ before the name tat was entered.  There is nothing that can be specified in the Syndication Template itself to affect the name of the file produced.

The only way to have full control over the name of the syndication file is to launch the job from a Scheduled Export.  Then any name can be specified and the publish<id>_<name>.* file will be renamed to the one specified in the Scheduled Export job.
