Syncsort MFX 2.1 End of Service Announcement - REMINDER
Valued Syncsort MFX Customers:
This is a reminder that we will be retiring Syncsort MFX, Release 2.1. The End of Support for this product will become effective on December 31, 2021.
The GA date for this release is November of 2014 which was over 6 years ago. During its lifespan, 9 TPF Maintenance Packages with a large number of PTFs were created by Syncsort and provided customers with new features and other APARs to address defects and performance issues.
Release 3.1 is our most current version of Syncsort MFX and it is included with your contract without incurring any additional costs. This version became GA in August 2018 and contains many innovations to improve operational efficiency, expand usability, and enable new technology. We will be releasing more enhancements this year to take advantage of the IBM Integrated Sort Accelerator, and support encryption using our performance-enhancing solution Syncsort ZPSaver, for basic and large format datasets.
At this time, we are advising customers who have not yet upgraded to Release 3.1, to make plans in the coming months to make this change.
