• New Product Level Security (PLS) distribution capability, providing export and import functionality for managing PLS settings across multiple IBM i nodes and installations.
• Object replication is improved to more effectively manage IFS object names during move and rename operations.  This will improve performance and prevent errors in environments with multiple objects apply (OBJAPY) jobs.
• Improvement to job queue replication by ensuring that jobs scheduled to run at a future date and time are accurately replicated and scheduled on the target system after a switch.

ATTENTION!  To enhance security of MIMIX environments, the MIMIXOWN password will be changed if it has not already been changed by the user.   In most cases this will be automatically managed by the software upgrade and restart processes.  LPARs with more than one MIMIX instance installed will require the user to perform tasks.  Carefully review the information in the Release Notes on this topic.

• ATTENTION!  Assure MIMIX requires IBM i OS product 5770SS1, option 34 Digital Certificate Manager (DCM).  The Check IBM PTFs (CHKIBMPTF) now checks for DCM. 
• Assure MIMIX and License Manager now allow upgrades using user profiles without *ALLOBJ, *SECADM, or other special authorities.
• Assure Unified Interface now uses Java 11 or 17 and Tomcat 9.0.93.
• The Work with DG File Entries (WRKDGFE) now has a new option 51=Audit history, which displays the audit object history for that object.
• Assure MIMIX Installation Wizard can now be run on a Windows 11 or Windows Server 2022.
• Assure MIMIX now includes a new step program, MMSTRNFY, allowing management of the MMNFYNEWE within a Procedure (example:  Switch Application Group (SWTAG)).

• NEWS FLASH!  Precisely is now supporting SQL services for Assure MIMIX operations and status monitoring, and request feedback from users and partners!
• Assure MIMIX now offers SQL interfaces, like IBM i SQL Services, to interact with Assure MIMIX to retrieve information and perform operations using SQL commands. This implementation allows modern tools and programs to interact with Assure MIMIX.  For more information about MIMIX SQL services, see Assure MIMIX SQL Services Reference. We expect to add additional Assure MIMIX SQL services based on user feedback.  Please provide feedback through Assure MIMIX (for IBM i) Ideas.
• The Work with Data Groups (WRKDG) display now has F17=WRKNFY (Work with Notifications).
• Work with Journal Definitions (WRKJRNDFN) now has capability to display all the journal definitions for a specified data group definition, regardless of the names of the journal definitions.

• Assure HA HealthLink is now available for MIMIX licensees.  Assure HA HealthLink facilitates the streaming of Assure MIMIX status data to IT Analytical Dashboards. Its primary objective is to enable the display, analysis, and implementation of workflow processes based on Assure MIMIX status information.

• The Command (*CMD) object attribute “Program to process command” is now compared and recovered by Audits (#OBJATR and CMPOBJA).

• Assure Unified Interface communications will now only use HTTPS (Hypertext Transfer Protocol Secure).
• To better support secure communications, Assure Unified Interface will now use a new Precisely certificate which expires yearly and gets automatically replaced.  Users that cannot use self-signed certificates: prior to upgrading, please contact Support, for instructions on how to apply your own certificates.

• ATTENTION! IBM i 7.3 is now the minimum supported operating system.
• Improvements have been made to the RJ Link Monitors which will improve the restart capability when a Remote Journal should be running but is not.  These improvements will also result in fewer active MIMIX jobs in the MIMIX subsystem (MIMIXSBS).
• MIMIX now supports secure connections for port jobs.  Both SECURE and UNSECURE communication modes are available.  See Release notes for detailed upgrade planning information.
• The Data Protection Report (DPR), previously only available in Assure Unified Interface, is now available in the 5250-user interface.

• Multithreaded Database Apply performance improvements:  Apply B and T will run in parallel.
• LPAR based processer usage checking (rather than SYSTEM based) for LPAR specific license keys.

• LPAR Activation (License keys) enhancements:
  •  Assure MIMIX will auto-apply the License Key Package (LKP) from a specific location when an existing license key check failure occurs.  This will improve Live Partition Mobility scenarios and make key management easier for service providers.
  • LPARs that are activated with license keys specific to the LPAR that move across to unknown physical serial numbers will stay active for a 7-day grace period.  Notifications will alert the user to obtain a new key.

• Assure MIMIX product documentation is now available in the Precisely Help Center. The Help Center provides a modern experience to help you quickly locate content, personalize your experience, and provide feedback.
• For Logical Partitions (LPAR) using a virtual serial number, Assure MIMIX will now be activated using license keys with either the virtual serial number or the hardware physical serial number.
• The name 'Assure MIMIX' will now be the displayed product name on the Work with Installed Products (WRKPRD) and Common Install panels in a single line for each MIMIX instance.
• The license keys used by a Assure MIMIX instance are now displayed on the Work with Installed Products (WRKPRD 6=About) display
• Priority Based Audit has been refined to protect the user from unintentional adverse actions.  Previously, a user could run repeated priority-based audits that could result in a race condition.

• ATTENTION! Product-Level Security (PLS) is now required to be enabled for License Manager (LAKEVIEW library) and Assure MIMIX (all installation libraries).
  • See the Assure MIMIX 10.0.13.00 ReadMe for details.
  • When enabled, all users MUST be appropriately enrolled in PLS.

License Manager is a shared component with other Precisely Products (Assure iTERA, Assure iOptimize, Assure Security and Connect CDC) and the installation of the 10.0.13 (or higher) License Manager will affect all these products if installed.

• Container cache cleanup enhancement allows for reduced impact on the temporary storage of a system.

  • Option 95=DB Relations. Displays the database relations of the file.
  • Option 99=Run command. Runs the command specified on the command line for the object.
• Improvements to replication and switching of the job schedule entries, allowing for better control when the entries differ between source and target.
• New Load Jrn-Centric Cfg Data Grp (LODJCCDG) allows you to select one or more journals on the source node that are not associated with an existing journal definition and creates journal-centric configuration.

• ATTENTION! During upgrade process, the All MIMIX product libraries, and the LAKEVIEW library, will be changed to have their public authority set to *EXCLUDE. See TECHNICAL ALERT 220916 - Assure Security-MIMIX-iTERA-iOptimize-Connect CDC - Upcoming Library Authority Changes. 

To avoid any downtime or disruption to your operation, ACTION MUST BE TAKEN to ensure users have appropriate authorities to these libraries.

In general, Precisely recommends a review of the following areas that may be affected:

• User profiles for users who need to access the software, and their current authorities.
• User profiles used by any automated jobs or tasks which access the Assure MIMIX software or License Manager and their current authorities. 
• User and system library lists, job descriptions and user profile attributes to make sure that Assure MIMIX software installation libraries and LAKEVIEW libraries are not specified.
