  • 1.  Adding .mbx program to the ribbon

    Posted 03-14-2023 20:32

Hello, I am new to MapBasic and have created a program in MapBasic that, although a bit clunky code-wise, works well when I run it from the Home>Tool Extensions>Registered window. I would like to be able access the program directly from the Ribbon, as a new Command in a new Tab. I would then deploy this new Tab and associated Command(s) to the rest of my organisation.

Please could you let me know how this can be done?

    Many thanks,
    Edouard

    Hi Edouard

I working my way through a number of introductory articles around MapBasic. You can find a list here: Getting Started with MapBasic

This article may be of help to you: MapBasic Monday: Building a Simple Ribbon Interface.

The discussion Adding Control to the Ribbon using Alter/Create Buttonpad Statements can also be helpful, especially post 7 showing how to create a new tab with a number of buttons on it.
