Hi there - 

I am having an issue where the "add long text" feature is not working in AS02/3. I have the mapping at the end of the script: 

The script is working outside of this portion, and I am not getting messages in the log: 

This seems to be isolated to AS02/3 as I am not having issues with MM03 or VA03, where I am getting messages in the log:

The long text feature is super helpful when it works :)

I just tried in my S4 system using AS02 - per the doc that is supported - not AS03 (but I haven't tried that yet) - https://help.precisely.com/r/t/1757358526682/2025-09-09/Automate-Studio/Connect/Latest/en-US/Automate-Studio-with-Studio-Administrator-User-Guide/Record-long-text

Please note I'm on Studio 25.2 but with the 24.1 Automate function module. My very quick example is attached - I just opened the asset and then exited.

Can you please share what you tried specifically, what you are seeing - i.e. what isn't working - and the script & template (cleanse the data as needed)?  Also if you're trying this on ECC or S4.

Hi Sigrid - 

I'm looing at https://community.precisely.com/discussion/tip-of-the-week-adding-long-text for the availability of AS03. Regardless, I have tried both an AS02 and AS03 script, focusing on just pulling the text through each of these, as well as changing the tcode on the attached script (encompassing everything I am trying to pull) to AS02. 

We are on Studio 24.1 as well as the 24.1 function module, and S4. Thanks again!

Thanks for sharing the script. I didn't realize you wanted to download.

Upload seems to work - can you confirm that works for you, too?

I just tried your script on my side (without all of the depreciation area stuff), and I'm getting blanks for the asset general long text - even though there is long text. 

I also tried the upload script I shared and swapped the mapping to download - so all long text - nothing else.  I got the same result - no long text downloaded. I tried the technical view long text, as well, with the same result.

And yes, even though the doc doesn't show AS03, it does work in AS03 - just checked the AFM tables to confirm:

Please note I tried downloading material master long text, and it worked - just to rule out the AFM version and/or Studio and/or permissions.

I'd suggest opening a support ticket, as this seems to be a potential bug.
