Thanks for the feedback on this. That's an interesting use case. Do you know what they do if a service address turns out not to be mailable, since this is certainly a possibility?
In answer to your question regarding PO Boxes, there are no plans to add PO Boxes to MLD.
MLD provides a pbKEY for all known, addressable locations. PO Boxes are unique in that they are not tied to any physical location. As such, it is possible that a PO Box located within a certain post office one month, could be moved to a different post office the next month. While the USPS sends out notifications regarding ZIP changes, the USPS data does not reflect a physical address for PO Boxes, and they do not report if the physical location of a PO Box moves.
We still match to PO Boxes when MLD data is in use, we just don't assign a pbKEY.

Subject: Are you using DPV with Master Location Data in the USA?
I have done a few tests with DPV turned on with MLD. The use case was to determine if an address was a USPS mailable address and/They or a physical location. NYC DEP - water suppliers - had Service addresses and asked if we could tell them how many were mailable. They had a separate mailing file for billing purposes, but sometimes they have to send notices out to their Service addresses by mail. They typically do not have email addresses collected. On a separate MLD topic - PO Boxes are not part of MLD _ are they being considered to be added? Attached is an EGM run with MLD and DPV turned on.

Since DPV is for USPS mailable addresses only, DPV returns are not available for all of the non-mailable addresses in Master Location Data (MLD).
If you're using DPV with MLD for the USA, what specifically are you trying to understand about the addresses in your database?
I'd really like to know more about how you use this in your business, so that I can explore ways to provide similar information for USPS non-mailable addresses.
Looking forward to your feedback on this!
