  • 1.  Is it possible to integrate a 3rd Party DAM with Enterworks?

    Hello,
We're onboarding some products that have images already stored in Adobe's DAM (Adobe AEM). I assume it's possible to integrate to a third party DAM (even if it's just temporary). Is this accurate? Is there a resource we can speak to regarding this?

    Thanks,
    Sean

    Sean,

the EnterWorks Digital Asset Manager cannot be directly integrated with a 3rd Party DAM.  However, it is possible to associate and even display thumbnail images from a third party DAM by defining link attributes in the appropriate repositories that would identify the asset in the 3rd party DAM primarily with a URL that can be used to retrieve/display that asset.  Then the attribute containing the URL can be set to have the Control Type of "Image URL".  This will attempt to retrieve the image identified in the URL to be displayed in the detail editor as well as in the repository list view.  Then when exporting the data, the Image URL attribute(s) are included and if the receiving system can access the assets by URL, nothing else needs to be done.  If the assets need to be retrieved and bundled, then an EPX workflow will need to be defined to download the images and package them into a zip file.

For details on the custom controls, please see Brown Bag Session 026 - Custom Controls for New Enterworks UI.
