We had the server services become de-sync, Assure controls didn't run from 18:00 or so on Sunday and we didn't know it because the alerts are basically built into the controls.  If the controls don't run there are no checks for alerts, and subsequently no alerts sent.

Is there a mechanism to do some type of health check on the services, websphere, network, etc to ensure ERS is going to run when called on?  Something we can run and schedule manually?

    Hi Jason,

Assure is a batch driven application; As a result if the WebSphere application server is offline ( or the cluster is in an unreachable state ) none of the "server-util" scripts will be able to complete.

Many customers utilize third-party monitoring tools ( Wiley, Zabbix, etc.. ) to alert the team of these types of problems. Unfortunately Assure does not have native monitoring capabilities that will solve your described scenario, since as you mention, alerts will not send if control processing is unable to take place.
