Hi Phil
If you use the automatic activation it's instant as the request is sent via a system request to our license server. This does however require that your license server has internet access.
If you emailed the License Request file (XML) to our activation email it might take a day or so. If you don't get a response within 48 hours, I'd suggest you send an email to our support team (at
support@precisely.com) and include the License Request file again.

Subject: Noob License Question - v19 license obvs not valid for v21?
Thanks, I figured as much. I found the v21 license details they have actually purchased and emailed off the activation request yesterday afternoon (I'm UTC +8 if that helps). Any idea on the current turn-around time from the activation people?

One of my users has upgraded their MapInfo to v21 (hurrah). We have Distributable licenses on our license server, most recent being for 10 of v19. User now complaining of license error messages.
I'm assuming v19 licenses aren't valid for v21? Can someone confirm before I go back to the user and tell them?
Questions of how the user has the rights to install/upgrade software on their own will be dealt with.
