  • 1.  ≥ (Greater / Equal to) Sign not working

    Posted 05-03-2022 07:40
    Hi,

I am using MapInfo Pro v2021 64 bit. I am on trying to insert this symbol ≥ onto my Layout window. However when I print as PDF, the symbol changes to a solid dot? So therefore can anyone suggest how to get this symbol to display? I have tried doing enable postscript simulation but I can't get it to work? Does anyone know if there is a proper symbol for ≥ to insert?

    Thanks

    Richard

Are you inserting this as a text or as a point?

Is this one of the special characters that need a \ in front of it to work?  If I want a % sign to show up in a legend, I have to put \% for it to keep it displayed correctly.

I just created a text frame and inserted the > character then underlined it.  Printed fine with no special settings.  Will that work for you?

    Ooh, that is strange.
It prints to printer OK but not to PDF.
I used the "Normal Text" symbol in Word and copied and pasted onto the Layout.

Hi, thanks all, I will give that another go, as in the end they needed the map urgently so I opted to just write in that it was greater / equal to as text instead.
