My experience with computers started in 1981 when I was hired at a computer company in south Florida, back then they made mini computers, there were no PCs (well except for a Radio Shack thingy).
I began teaching PC software classes in 1985 when they only had 64K of memory. It was then that I also was available for contract work, which mostly consisted of developing database applications that automated their very manual processes.
In 2006 I began working for a Texas school district where I provide automated solutions for them as well across all departments.
With my database background, and the school district projects I've been fortunate to be a part of, it's been a good fit for me to be the one at the district that is responsible for mapping when we need to change school attendance zone boundaries.
